Well... it was Halloween at Ra's and we were eating dots. We were siting there talking and I look down and notice that I was just licking a dot. So I say, (rather loudly) "Why am I licking this dot?!?"

That eye gunk...

...you know that nasty stuff inside/by the eyeball after a good long snooze?

Why is it the small children *always* get it and middleish children only get it sometimes??
Do adults get it like three times a year? Is it totally gone by the time you're 90?!?

What is the purpose of eye gunk? Is it protecting anything? Is it annoying everything?...uhh yeah.

I can see the purpose for littles ones-- they wake up any they're all warm and cuddly, but then you spy the eye gunk and you no longer wish to cuddle the cherubs...until said gunk is removed.

But these days when I wake up I don't think anyone thinks I look cuddly. Seriously, Medusa hair, sheet crinkles all over my face, any complete grumpiness--let's face it, you just woke me up-- no further repellent is needed.

My looks when I wake up will probably keep on deteriorating so-- why eye gunk?
